Characters are of course the focus of my work. I try to give each of them distinguishing qualities and not fall into the same patterns or clichés one sees so much in digital painting. However I naturally tend to be a recidivist and my crimes are easily spotted … The hardest part is actually letting go of my habits when it comes to the actual painting workflow. This, unfortunately, can be quite limiting but confronting myself with the boundaries of my abilities paves the way for improvement.
